چکیده

Computer vision based projector-camera calibration approaches usually involve with complex geometry transformation and trivial operations, mostly inappropriate for scenarios that under poor illumination or interfering background. An automatic geometric correction method for projector using projection board embedded with optic sensors is proposed, aiming at simplifying the calibration operations and improving the robustness of geometric correction. By capturing the Gray-coded structured light frames, the correspondence between the points of interest on the projection board and the pixels on image plane could be obtained; furthermore, homograph matrixes are exploited to transform the images to be projected. A special one-to-many hardware design paradigm is adopted so that multiple projection boards are able to connect to one renderer node simultaneously. To further enhance the projection precision against each projection board, a self-adaptive illumination density threshold determination method is used. Copyright © 2014 IFSA Publishing, S. L.

A novel Local feature descriptor using the Mercator projection for 3D object recognition

Point cloud processing is a rapidly growing research area of computer vision. Introducing of cheap range sensors has made a great interest in the point cloud processing and 3D object recognition. 3D object recognition methods can be divided into two categories: global and local feature-based methods. Global features describe the entire model shape whereas local features encode the neighborhood ...

Out-of-Focus Projector Calibration Method with Distortion Correction on the Projection Plane in the Structured Light Three-Dimensional Measurement System

The three-dimensional measurement system with a binary defocusing technique is widely applied in diverse fields. The measurement accuracy is mainly determined by out-of-focus projector calibration accuracy. In this paper, a high-precision out-of-focus projector calibration method that is based on distortion correction on the projection plane and nonlinear optimization algorithm is proposed. To ...

An Incremental Target-Adapted Strategy for Active Geometric Calibration of Projector-Camera Systems

The calibration of a projector-camera system is an essential step toward accurate 3-D measurement and environment-aware data projection applications, such as augmented reality. In this paper we present a two-stage easy-to-deploy strategy for robust calibration of both intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of a projector. Two key components of the system are the automatic generation of projected li...

Three-dimensional surface profile intensity correction for spatially modulated imaging.

We describe a noncontact profile correction technique for quantitative, wide-field optical measurement of tissue absorption (microa) and reduced scattering (micros) coefficients, based on geometric correction of the sample's Lambertian (diffuse) reflectance intensity. Because the projection of structured light onto an object is the basis for both phase-shifting profilometry and modulated imagin...
